Pricing For Dogs FAQ
-
Our standard service pricing is for dogs with coats in healthy, well-maintained condition. The final cost of your dog's groom may vary based on several factors, including:
Coat Condition: Matting or neglected coats require extra time and effort for safe and humane removal.
Behavioral Needs: For dogs that require specialized handling, extended grooming time, or extra care, a special handling fee may be applied.
Senior or Special Needs: We give extra care and comfort to our elderly dogs. The added time and attention needed may affect the final price.
Prices may vary for dogs not on a regular grooming schedule since coats can deteriorate over time without regular grooming and maintenance. Don’t worry, though — we’ll let you know right away how much your particular dog’s grooming services will cost once we’ve arrived on-site and examined the good boy or girl.
-
YES. The condition of the dog’s coat will determine overall pricing. We will review upon arrival and examination of the coat and give you the added cost for matting.
When we find mats, we’ll always choose the most humane option. Light matting can often be brushed out, but severe mats will require shaving for your pet’s comfort and safety. While we love giving fluffy grooms, your pet’s well-being always comes first.
-
A Full Groom is our most complete service. It includes:
Bath with Luxury Shampoo and Conditioner chosen for your dog’s coat type
Tearless Blueberry Facial

Nose & Paw Moisturizer
Fluff Drying by Hand/Blow Out for Deshedding if needed

Specialty Breed:
Poodles
Doodles
All Poodle Mixes
Heavy Coated Breeds
Spitz Coated Breeds
-
Doodles, Poodles, and similar breeds have coats that are very different from short-haired or smooth-coated dogs. Their hair is curly, textured, and often grows continuously, which makes it more prone to tangling and matting if not maintained regularly. Grooming these breeds requires extra time, skill, and care to properly brush out, shape, and style their coat while keeping your pet comfortable.
Specialty grooms also involve advanced techniques, specialized tools, and additional coat management steps compared to standard grooming. This ensures your dog not only looks their best but also stays healthy, with a coat that is free of mats and skin irritation.
Because of the added time, expertise, and effort involved, Doodles and Poodles fall under our “Specialty Grooming” category and are priced higher than other coat types. This helps us provide the high-quality, safe, and stress-free grooming experience your pet deserves.
-
Unique Coat Structure
Heavy-coated and Spitz breeds have exceptionally dense coats that require specialized care. Most have a double coat with a soft insulating undercoat beneath a coarser outer layer of guard hairs. Some breeds, like Samoyeds, Malamutes, and Chow Chows, even have a triple coat, with an extra transitional layer that makes the coat especially thick and fluffy.Seasonal Shedding
These breeds often “blow coat” seasonally, shedding large amounts of undercoat in clumps. Managing this shedding safely and effectively takes extra time, tools, and patience.Grooming Challenges
Because of the density and structure of these coats, they are more prone to tangles, matting, and skin issues if not thoroughly maintained. Professional grooming for these breeds involves extensive brushing, de-shedding, and coat management techniques that go beyond the basics of a single-layer coat.Specialized Time & Care
The grooming process for heavy-coated and Spitz breeds is significantly more labor-intensive, often requiring specialized tools, products, and additional time to ensure pets are both comfortable and beautifully groomed.

Larger cats require more time, products, and handling. Grooming a bigger cat often takes longer to bathe, dry, brush, and style, which is reflected in the price difference.
-
Long-haired coats tangle and mat more easily. Grooming requires extra time for brushing, detangling, and blow-drying to ensure the coat is soft, mat-free, and healthy.
-
A Full Coat Groom, or complete Bath & Brush, is our most popular service for cats. It includes:
Degreasing Bath
Show Bath
Fluff Dry by Hand
Nail Trim
Ear Cleaning
Eyes Cleaning
Sanitary Clip
Comb Out
Light Detangling
Face Trim if needed
-
Comfort over Vanity: This groom will be a full or partial shave down at the groomer’s discretion. When the mats are too severe to brush out or the cat is to frail to put it through painful de-matting, the groomer must do what is best for the well-being of the cat.
This groom will likely uncover skin irritation and/or other issues. It is to be expected that the hair will not grow back evenly at first.
Your cat will be scheduled again in 4 weeks when the new hairs have grown enough for the whole coat to be clipped to a uniform length.
Includes Nail Trim, Ear Cleaning, Gentle Face Cleaning, Pelt Removal, Extreme Degreasing/Exfoliating Bath, Fluff Dry by Hand
ALSO Includes 4 week follow up (bath & reclip)
Price for the Hot Mess Package is $380
